I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
